President Museveni Empowers Thousands Of Bazzukulu In Rukiga With Capital Tools In Massive Empowerment Drive Championed By Hajjat Namyalo

Thousands of Bazzukulu in Kigezi Sub-region especially those in Rukiga and neighbouring districts have today received capital tools in a massive empowerment drive championed by the Office of the NRM National Chairman head, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye.

Hajjat Namyalo, who also doubles as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs (SPA/PA) handed over capital items such as hair dryers, automobile tools, maize seeds popcorn-making machines, , sprayers, among others to thousands of Bazzukulu who gathered at Kantare Playgrounds, Kashambya in Rukiga district.

Hajjat Namyalo, who delived the empowerment package on behalf of President Museveni called upon the beneficiaries to utilize the equipment handed over to them to their maximum potential so that they can improve their livelihoods.

“I have come here just like i have done elsewhere, to empower you on behalf of HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and First lady Janet Kataha Museveni. These two are the champions of wealth creation in the country. So I am here to deliver these empowerment tools on their behalf. Its important that all Ugandans have some money in the pocket, ” Hajjat Namyalo Hadijah told the people of Rukiga on Friday afternoon.

“Yes the President gave you the Skilling hub, but after getting skills, what next? you need the tools to start implementing the skills you’ve obtained in the hub so that you start making money,” she added amid ululations from the mammoth of crowd on the afternoon.

Hajjat Namyalo, however decried at the bureaucracy in government programmes such as Emyooga, PDM, Youth Livelihood, among others, and called out on local government officials who demand money from those seeking access to these programs to desist from such acts.

“The Government has very many programs for you but the problem is with the implementation, which has a lot of bureaucracy and procedures to follow, but the ONC is here to give you start-up tools for your own empowerment,” she said.

Ms Namyalo who had no kind words for opportunists and ‘political lumpens’ urged the Bazzukulu not to involve President Museveni’s ONC into local politics saying the office she manages is strictly focused on uplifting their livelihoods and not siding with those who have political interest.

She further warned against some individuals in positions of power who try to intimidate her when she visits certain districts, stating that her purpose is not political but rather centered on promoting prosperity.

In her final remarks, Namyalo reassured the people of Rukiga that President Museveni will be on the ballot come 2026 and asked them to (as they’ve always done) rally behind with their overwhelming support for more such empowerment campaigns.

On a special note, the ONC Boss also thanked Dr Sylvia Alinaitwe Tumuheirwe and other leaders in Rukiga for having a generous heart and supporting the Bazzukulu empowerment, particularly to the benefit of the ‘Muntu wa Wansi’.

The Rukiga Empowerment function was attended to by several leaders in the district including the RDC, Mr Fred Kyamuzigita, the LC5 Chairperson, Mr. Richard Kakwerere, ONC Coordinators, and those from diverse political affiliations, including the National Unity Platform (NUP) and Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU).

The ONC Wealth Creation campaign is part of NRM’s countrywide campaign spearheaded by President Museveni through his Kyambogo Office to get all Ugandans into the money economy.

It is worth remembering that ever since she took over the leadership of ONC, Hajjat Namyalo has been touring different districts, empowering people with different capital items which are already supporting beneficiaries by generating income.
