“Take advantage of the vast opportunities available to become job creators than job seekers”-SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijjah Namyalo urged Kampala Ghetto youths on their Graduation ceremony

The Head of Office of the National Chairman NRM-Kyambogo SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye earlier today presided over the graduation ceremony of ghetto youths trained by the Government of Uganda through the Makerere University Research and Innovation Fund under a project named “KAMPALA GHETTO YOUTH TRAINING FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL PROMOTION (KGYTEP).

The training was conducted by researchers from the College of Education and External Studies and is aimed at equipping ghetto youth with entrepreneurial skills. 

The trainees have undergone extensive training for several weeks, they will be grouped and given capital to start-up businesses.

While Speaking at the close of the training, SPA/PA Hadijah Namyalo encouraged the youth to always look at self-employment as the most viable option for living a successful and independent life. 

Hajjat Namyalo also called upon the youth to be mostly job creators and not job seekers. In her concluding remarks, she emphasized that the ghetto youth should always register and are entitled to benefit from all available government programs such as Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga, and any other program aimed at eradicating poverty.
