Today, Mitooma district marked its international women’s Day celebrations at Kyamuyanga Primary School under the theme of empowering women. In attendance, there was the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, Rt. Hon. Nabanja Prime Minister as the Chief guest, various members of Parliament, Chairman LC V, Chairman NRM Mitooma district, RDCs, DISOs, DPCs, and other distinguished stakeholders.
The function’s theme aimed at empowering women more through fundraising for their women financial saving and development groups.
The Head ONC SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijja Namyalo was thanked for the tremendous support that she has always given to women.
The Chief Guest Rt. Hon. Nabanjja led Mitooma district leaders and the locals to endorse H.E. President Museveni “Mzee Tova Ku Main 2026 & beyond”. The gathering had a praying session for President’s quick recovery from Covid-19.
