During the closure of the Global African Diaspora Symposium in Abuja, Nigeria, Ambassador Abbey Walusimbi, was honored with an award for his outstanding contributions, to the African diaspora community. The Symposium, which took place from April 25-28, aimed to bring together members of the African diaspora community, to discuss issues related to the development of the continent. Attendees included influential leaders in the African diaspora community, including Congressman Hakeem Jeffries from the United States of America, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Moroe.
